At first we were a little unsure. Mom's leg is perhaps the safest place to be at times like this.

Then we warmed up to the idea a bit more.

For the I Heart Faces photo challenge this week, "A touch of whimsy". I love this photo I took a few days ago. It just captures her sweetness, and it's a scene I see so often these days. She loves to pick dandelions and she is so excited when she sees a patch of them.

A walk around the neighborhood

Eric had to go to work last night unexpectedly at 10 PM (and ended up sleeping there) so none of us had a great night. He came home early this morning to a beautiful day though, so we all took a nice walk around the neighborhood. The loop is about 3.5 miles and was really very pleasant this morning. Then we stopped to take some photos.

She always has her hands in or at her mouth. Either deep in thought..

Or else we are still dealing with the last 2 year old molars. We see a dentist at the end of July and hopefully this mystery will be solved.

Watermelon

My girl loooooooves watermelon. She loves most any fruit really, but watermelon really makes her happy. We had a little watermelon picnic in the backyard. It was quite nice in the shade and the bugs pretty much left us alone.

Also got a nice post-bath shot. Gotta love hooded towels. And wet eyelashes :)

In other news, I finally got a lensbaby. As soon as I figure out how to use it better than this:

I will post a picture. If you want to see examples of how it should really be used, try here. I definitely don't think it's ideal for photographing toddlers. But hopefully it will be a fun little lens to play with once I get the hang of it.

For the I Heart Faces photo challenge, "bright and vivid". Searching through my photos I didn't find many that fit this theme well surprisingly. But this one is one of my recent favorite photos and I think it works.

My favorite shot from this week for Sweet Shot Tuesday. 

What I love about this photo: I love photos of sleeping babies (especially MY sleeping baby). I love them especially in black and white. I also love that this photo was taken without a flash, in close to dark, at an ISO of 5000--I was excited there wasn't too much noise!
