My purple sun hat

Still really hot. The heat index has been over 118 for most of the week. We went outside to take some photos in this cute sun hat.

Of course, we have a love/hate relationship with hats. 

 We don't always want to wear them, and when we do, they sometimes get worn like this:

It is, of course, ridiculously hot. You can see the humidity in the air. I long for winter, or even fall. But, at least there are pretty sundresses to be worn now. So there's that.

Another sunflower for Sweet Shot Tuesday

Another of the sunflower for Sweet Shot Tuesday. I really enjoyed photographing these this week, and took several  macro photos. I don't have a macro lens (yet) because they are pretty expensive. Hopefully one of these days! For now I use macro filters and I had an epiphany with those this week. I love macro photography!

I almost forgot..

..about Sweet Shot Tuesday today. We are thrown off on our days I think, due to Eric's weird schedule this week. Anyway. I took several photos I liked this week. This one was taken at the Botanical Gardens on Sunday. They have a butterfly exhibit there but E was very afraid of the butterflies for some reason. She kept saying "I don't want the butterfly to bite my leg". Daddy promised to protect her from the butterflies, and anything else that happened along.
